Who

The Cotswold Veg Box Company was founded by Pete Robinson and Alex Thompson in 2020, during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. With more people turning to home delivery for groceries, Pete and Alex recognised an opportunity to bring fresh, locally sourced produce directly to customers’ doors. Their mission? To provide top-quality fruit and veg from the best British farms, delivered contact-free at the click of a button.

What

"To support their vision, The Cotswold Veg Box Company needed a brand identity and an online store that reflected the quality and sophistication of their offering. The platform had to accommodate both one-time purchases and subscription models, making it easy for customers to sign up for weekly or fortnightly deliveries. The project included: • A complete branding pack and website design. • Development of an Ecommerce platform with single and subscription payment options. • Ongoing operational and marketing support. • A robust strategy to help scale the business over time. More recently, we partnered with The Cotswold Veg Box Company to rebuild their online store on Shopify. Having outgrown their original Squarespace platform, they needed a scalable solution that could handle their growing customer base and evolving needs. Alongside this, we completed a rebrand, staying true to their core values and identity while modernising the brand to better resonate with their audience and reflect how the business has grown."

How

Branding: We crafted a modern and elegant visual identity to capture the quality and sophistication of The Cotswold Veg Box Company. Using strong, timeless colours and fonts, the branding instilled trust and confidence, aligning perfectly with the produce and packaging quality they provide. Technology: With The Cotswold Veg Box being a fully online business, the website needed to be user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and capable of handling high volumes of orders. In just two weeks, we designed and developed a fully functional online store. Customers could order one-off veggie boxes, add extras like eggs and milk, or subscribe to regular deliveries, all through a seamless and intuitive interface.
As the business scaled, we led the migration to Shopify, providing a platform better suited to their larger customer base and advanced operational needs. The new Shopify store ensured smoother operations, improved performance, and better tools for customer engagement. Business Development and Support: We provided operational support from day one, helping optimise delivery routes, refine customer service, and implement scalable processes. Recognising the importance of empowering the team, we trained Pete and Alex to manage the technology themselves, enabling them to adapt the tools independently as the business evolved.
